Dennis Slabaugh, ARM

With over 33 years of Nationally recognized risk management service and 45 years of industry experience, Mr. Slabaugh is relentless in his pursuit of delivering expertise to his clients. His claim management experience and workers’ compensation expertise is well known throughout the State of Florida by adjusters, carriers, and the legal community. He started his career with the Prudential in Cleveland Ohio in 1976. After spending 8 years in the P & C brokerage business in Naples, he established the Corporate Risk Management department at the NCH Healthcare System in 1989. While at NCH, he led many risk reduction strategies in the medical liability area and in the self-funded workers’ compensation program. Medical liability costs and self-funded workers’ compensation costs remained at less than 50% of what they were prior to his association with NCH saving millions of dollars each year. He was an early pioneer in the Florida workers’ compensation managed care arena having assisted NCH’s workCare Managed Care Arrangement become one of the very first licensed MCA’s in the state in 1994. As a frequent speaker at Local, Regional and National conferences as well as providing dozens of training programs for businesses each year, he is always eager to share his knowledge. In addition to providing significant “value-added” services to his clients the past 15 years, he has championed several large scale Risk Consulting projects for some of the area’s most well known companies. He is recognized as an expert authority of Florida Workers’ Compensation. Mr. Slabaugh has participated in over 750 meditations and settlement conferences resulting in significant claim cost control and has been a Certified Supreme Court County Mediator. He earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and also earned the Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) He is certified in the erection and inspection of Tube / Coupler, Frame Scaffolding and has been a Provider of Contractor’s Licensing Board CEU’s
